Which trainers are compatible with Momentum X1?

Momentum X1 is compatible with nearly all bike trainers in the market. If you have a special trainer that requires a space wider than Momentum X1’s rear plate (L 700 x W 760 mm), please contact our customer service at info@gymrail.com and we’ll give you a hand.

All direct drive smart trainers are compatible with Momentum X1, including:

Please note that Momentum X1 is not meant to be used with roller trainers.

How is Momentum X1 different from traditional rocker plates?

Momentum X1 is a 4D rocker plate system that solves the issues traditional rocker plate users have had in the past, such as insufficient tilting and comprehensive adjustability. It includes all the directions of movement needed for an efficient indoor cycling training.

Where traditional rocker plates only have one platform to mount your bike on, Momentum X1 comes with two separate components – the front frame and rear rocker plate – that allow for a true natural movement. This makes indoor training more realistic as you’re able to swing effortlessly in all dimensions: fore-aft, side-to-side (tilt), side-to-side (sway), and twisting (yaw).

Can Momentum X1 be used outdoors, for example on a terrace?

Yes, but Momentum X1 is not designed to be used in constant humidity. After use, bring the rocker back inside and dry it with a towel.

Is Momentum X1 easy to take on a race?

Yes. The rocker can be repackaged in the original package in 5 minutes quite easily with the tools included in the shipping box.

How much space does training with Momentum X1 require?

Total space needed is at minimum about 100 x 190 cm.

Momentum X1 extends 20 cm beyond the front fork and 55 cm behind the rear fork.

The front frame length is 46 cm, width 58 cm and height 45-50 cm depending on the front leg adjustments.

The rear plate length is 70 cm, width 76 cm and height 10 cm. For proper side-to-side movement, the space should have a minimum width of 100 cm.

To see if you can fit Momentum X1 in your desired training space, check if the space fits a full length bike with tires. If it does, there’s enough space for Momentum X1, too.

What kind of training surface does Momentum X1 require?

The surface should be as even as possible to avoid unnecessary tilting. Make sure the surface is free of loose sand. If you have a delicate floor, such as soft wood flooring, we recommend a rubber or plastic mat under the Momentum X1.

Is Momentum X1 suitable for my bike frame?

Momentum X1 is designed for adult racing bike frames. The package includes front fork adapters for quick release 9 mm, as well as 12 mm, 15 mm and 15 mm thru axles.

Is Momentum X1 suitable for my weight?

The recommended maximum rider weight is 135 kg.

Do the tires leave marks on the floor?

No. The tires are made of silicone rubber. With a delicate floor (such as soft wood flooring), it is safest to use a plastic or rubber mat underneath. Remember to keep all four wheels clean so the grip on the floor is better.

Does Momentum X1 make any noise when training?

The rocker’s bearings and springs only make little noise, even while riding hard. The loudest noise probably comes from the bike’s gears, chains, and the trainer

How many days does it take to deliver to countries within the EU?

When you have received your order confirmation, the products ship normally within 24 hours. If you place your order on a Friday after 12 pm, the product ships on the following Monday.
